For the ones who were following my previous adventures on my French blog, they already know that I'm not really what we could call a Green Thumb...
I must even confess, that being a plant in my apartment is a pretty tough job...
Enrole only if you're a suicidal bonsai, a masochist ficus or a cactus which has already been living in very extreme conditions...

Usually, I just forgot to water my plants (my mini-palm-tree tried to warn me by getting its leaves yellow, just before dying...).
I also succeeded in poisoning another one with some diet Coke, once...
And this time, I've managed a brand new achievement !?...

I've realized, that, non content with growing 3 little plants in my room, I'm also growing microbes on them.
Some kind of fungus or whatever.
It looks like some white moss, delicately laid between the leaves...

But this must be a very nice kind of parasite, because all these little plant and microbial creatures seem to live in a perfect harmony.

I may just be too much ahead of my time and simply be a misunderstood discoverer of the growing from the third millenium.

Can anyone explain me why do Americans put the word "French " in front of everything and whatever?...

My french cleaner is... korean, and I'm not sure that laundry is especially a french tradition...
You could surely find french fries in France, but it's not really the most typical dish of french cuisine. For instance, you would find more often french beans in a french restaurant. And I can cook, and I would show you how the French deal with potatoes: with garlic and melted onions, tasty and just grilled enough to be delicious!
With these potatoes, a little salad would be great, with french dressing, of course; but I would keep the french toasts for another occasion (no reference to the possible french origin of these toasts; in France, I was even thinking that they were American...).
And it's not just about food: I have french windows in my house in Paris, but I never thought it would be so patriotic to choose this kind of large windows.

Finally, I must say that my favorite one -and maybe the only one I could be proud of- is the french kiss. I don't know if we invented it, but we sure are experts to practice! ;)

Yesterday night I was at this club.
The Don Hill's.
House music and Drag Queens, that was amazing.

I love Drag Queens.

Full of life, a little of crazyness.
Colors, joy, and spike heels.

I even slept with a Drag Queen, once.
I mean, I didn't spend the night with him while he was a Drag Queen, but I had met her two days before, while she was a Drag Queen.
I mean "he was a Drag Queen"...
Whatever...

I just had a great night yesterday.
I like these places where people can be whoever they want and just enjoy.
No question, just some fun...

That's just like that inside my head every day of the year!

Vendredi 2 mars 2007 5 02 /03 /Mars /2007 02:15

Here is the dawn of a new day for mankid (and especially more for this blog…): I’ve finally decided to write a second article, and I’m motivated enough to write more frequently other new ones.

I didn’t do it for my first blog, but traditionally, the first article on a new blog should be a quiz, in order to discover the author a little more.
So I’ve asked a friend to find a funny one for me, here it is:

"Tell me more, tell me more..."

For it's better to 'start with the man in the mirror': myself

-My name is?
Guillaume, shorten in Gyom since I only had 4 letters to put on my favorite videogame's high scores list, some years ago.
And finally, I'm now Gyom everywhere on the net.

-Male, female, she-male, whatever?
Just read and guess!

-Me in three words
Arf! the famous question...
Even more difficult in english.
Maybe: What the fuck !???
(just because I don't really have any other idea and because I love this expression)

For it's 'the best thing I've seen'... my American Dream

-The first time I saw it.
In 1997: Los Angeles bitches/beaches, the Streets of San Francisco, and a New Year's Eve in Vegas...

-The first time I felt amazed by it.
I really liked S.F. but the real first time I thought "I'd truely like to live here", it was in New York...
Of course.

-The first time I got sick and tired about it.
Not yet, I may be too forbearing...

For 'Man is by nature a political animal’: someone

-The last one who made you feel a bit more than a friend?
I would fall in love 10 times in a day, whenever I see a cute smile.
The last one, it was 5 minutes ago.

-The one who makes you laugh?
The one who send me this quiz: I don’t know her for a long time, but I like people, like her, who can surprise me.

-The one you'd slap, just for the fun of it?
NewYork, the crazy girl from the show ‘I love NewYork’, on VH1.
The show really makes me laugh, but this girl is so stupid...

New York might be the center of the world, yet...: a place

-The place of your childhood where you long to be?
In the castle I used to build with the cushions of the sofa… ;)

-The place of your first kiss?
My room.
With friends (girls, at that time), we had invented a ridiculous game whose only aim was to try kissing each other…
I’m talking about real French kisses, of course.
I was something like 12, I think…

-The last place where you shed a tear?
In my bed, this morning, when waking up.
I can cry all the time. While yawning, with some wind, whenever.
Rarely because I’m sad.

'Stuck in a moment you can't get out of'?: a moment

-The moment you wish to forget?
The time my first true love told me ‘I love you’ and I answered… nothing.

-The moment you can't wait for?
Tomorrow morning, for sleeping in. I love these lazy moments…

-The last birthday you forgot?
I always forgot birthdays.
I think the last one was Clement’s.

For 'it's a version of the world': a book

-The book you're reading right now?
‘La Fascination du Pire’ (‘The Fascination of Evil’), by Florian Zeller.
I’m only at the page 20, but I already like his acute and cynical style.

-The most boring book you were told to read?
Maybe ‘Pot-Bouille’, by Emile Zola.
But I’ve learnt to like this kind of book, with its heavy and uncomfortable descriptions, some years later: I was fascinated to still remember these strange feelings by just thinking about the title of the book.
Very powerful, finally.

-The book where the bookmark is stuck on page 50?
‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’, by Oscar Wilde.
I was trying to read a whole book in English when I just arrived in NYC.
But I won’t give up! I’m just on a break…

For 'there's no business like show business': a movie

-The creepiest movie?
‘Clueless’ ?...

-The movie quote you want to remember?
“- Oh, you don't understand, Osgood! Ehhhh... I'm a man.
- Well, nobody's perfect.”
In ‘Some like it hot’.

-The movie you need to watch under influence?
‘Dude, where’s my car?’, because these Swedish aliens…

Fast food, fast love, funny, but at times, it's good to take your time: food

-The food that makes you salivate, come to think about it?
The Takoyakis, from this small shop on 9th Street.

-The food you cook best?
A ‘moelleux au chocolat’ (an amazing chocolate cake…).

-The food that gives you a heave?
The liver.

'I'd like to put you in a trance'... sex

-Your favorite position?
I could say “the next new one”, but that would be pretentious.
But I don't really have a favorite one.
A good and classical answer would be the 69...

-A word/a gimmick you keep saying when having sex?
I’m not the kind of guy talking when having sex.
But I’d be curious to try some kind of role-play, then.
Playing some historical character, as Alexander the Great, for instance; talking about “slavery and battles...”
Whatever! ;)

-Your last erotic dream?
Last night.
It started in a sauna…

You may have learnt a little more about me with this quiz, and surely more with the coming articles.

See you.

Lundi 2 octobre 2006 1 02 /10 /Oct /2006 21:15

Ok, here is my first article on this blog; and then, my first article in english.

I've been writing a blog in french for a few months, now; and since I now live in New York, I wanted to try this: writing a blog in english.

So, by anticipation, for all my future english-speaking readers: excuse my french, but my english is not perfect...
I promise I'll try to improve.

In a first time, I'll write some articles in this blog first, and I'll se if I can really do such a thing (you know, I'm the kind of guy who wakes up one morning, convinced to be able to read a book, "I already have all the ideas: the name of the hero, the breed of his dog, the kind of cigarettes he'll smoke...", who spends 4 hours in front of his laptop, and finally give up after only 3 pages... "No, I must be not tortured enought to become a writer...")
And if I succeed in writing in it quite frequently, I'll try to promote it then (and reveal its existence to my faithful french readers...)

I know that this blog is on a french server, but I'm quite familiar with it, so I didn't want to choose another one. But I'll try to do all my best to make it look like a real english blog (and I'll be finally happy to have a qwerty keyborad, without these %#%!& accents...)

I also have to give an explanation for the title...
Let's say there was no real reason for this choice, but after a while, I've decided to add some pictures in my blog to illustrate the articles.
And these pictures happen to be blue cherries !?

Ok, You'll see that in due time.

So, see you and enjoy.
